What to Expect

Come As You Are

Whether you have been part of a church your whole life or you are exploring faith for the first time, you are welcome at Hay River Pentecostal Chapel.

We want you to feel comfortable, valued, and right at home. Come as you are — there is no dress code, no pressure, and no need to have everything figured out before you walk through the doors.

If you are visiting for the first time, you can relax. We won’t ask you to stand, introduce yourself, or do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. We are simply excited to meet you and have you join us.

A Place to Belong

When you arrive, you are welcome to sit wherever you would like. We don’t have assigned seating — find a seat where you feel comfortable and make yourself at home.

Our services typically last about 75 minutes and are designed to help you connect with God, experience His presence, and grow in your faith.

What Happens During a Service?

Our gatherings include:

• Worship — a time to honour God through music, prayer, and reflection.

• Biblical Teaching — practical, hope-filled messages from God’s Word that help us follow Jesus in everyday life.

• Community — opportunities to connect with others and experience the encouragement of a church family.

As a Pentecostal church, we believe in the active work and presence of the Holy Spirit. Our worship is a blend of Spirit-led traditional and contemporary music that helps people of all ages engage with God.

Participate at Your Own Pace

During our services, you are welcome to stand, sit, sing, pray, or simply observe. We encourage everyone to participate in whatever way they feel comfortable.

There is no pressure and no expectation to have all the answers. Our desire is to create a welcoming environment where people can encounter God, build relationships, and take their next step of faith.
